What are addition words? They add one more idea, reason or example to what you just said. They connect your sentences and improve Coherence and Cohesion in Writing and Speaking. Learn which ones are simple and which ones are formal.

💡 IELTS tip: Do not use moreover and furthermore in every paragraph. Use 2 to 3 addition words in a whole essay and change them. Remember: besides means “also”, but beside means “next to”. Use a comma after formal words at the start of a sentence.
