Why this matters in IELTS Writing: You cannot paraphrase every word. Some words have no synonym with exactly the same meaning. If you force a change, the meaning becomes wrong or unnatural. Keep these words and paraphrase the other words and the structure.
❌ Eating quick meals is unhealthy.✅ Eating fast food is unhealthy.
🎯 Topic words
    🌍 Names and places
      🔢 Numbers, dates and units
🔒 Technical terms and fixed phrases
          ✅ What to do instead
💡 IELTS tip: Ask yourself: Do I know a synonym with exactly the same meaning? If not, keep the word. Never change a number, date or name. To avoid repeating a topic word, use it, this or such, for example this problem. Words such as important, increase and children can be paraphrased.
