Listening for Signpost: Class activity 1

Pre-Listening

  • Look at the words and phrases A-K and decide what kind of information might follow e.g. a contradiction, an example, an aditional piece of information.
  • Complete each of the speech bubbles with the most appropriate word or phrase.
  • Now, listen to the audio and check your answers. Pay particular attention to the intonation used by the speakers.
